ALD Atomic Layer Deposition System
This Savannah S100 model equipment allows coating materials with a resolution of a few atoms. The team is unique in Chile, and one of the first in Latin America. This equipment makes it possible, for example, to coat porous alumina samples to produce nanotubes. The ALD technique holds tremendous promise for a wide range of industries.
NanoMOKE3
This equipment corresponds to the integration of an ultra-high sensitivity magneto-optical magnetometer and a Kerr microscope. Unlike other magnetic characterization equipment, this system can measure a very low magnetic signal, thus allowing the investigation of thin films and isolated nanostructures. Due to its characteristics, this equipment is unique in Chile, and one of the few in Latin America.

The MBraun dry chamber generates an inert nitrogen atmosphere, with controlled levels of oxygen and humidity. This chamber allows us to store samples that oxidize in the environment. Additionally, we use the chamber to store and handle reagents that react with air or moisture. The chamber also has a refrigerator that allows storing reagents that require low temperatures.

We have two Mac Pro 8-Core 2.26 GHz Intel Xeon computers and 4 Mac Pro Two 2.4 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon computers. These equipments are mainly used to carry out micromagnetic simulations using the OOMMF software.
Set-up experimental for anodizing
We have an experimental set-up that allows us to anodize porous alumina membranes in a controlled manner. In addition, this same experimental set-up allows us to fabricate nanowire arrays using the electrodeposition technique.
