With this equipment, voltammetric studies and analyses can be performed (normal and differential pulse voltammetry, AC voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, etc.), and it is also possible to perform chronopotentiometry and chronoamperometry at times shorter and longer than 0.1 s. This instrument has an FRA 2 module (Frequency Response Analyzer) that allows measuring conductivities using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method.

This equipment is based on: 2 Warner OC-725C clampers, 1 data mini-digitizer, 4 micromanipulators, a perfusion pump, cold light, and the minor equipment needed to record the electrical currents produced by ion channels in these cells. Its use allows detecting the activity of ligand-activated ion channels, or NPs, in both intact ion channels and other artificially mutated ones.
